Chong-Zhi Liaw

Current Job:

Chong-Zhi is a graduate engineer at SAGE Automation. He is currently completing his graduate rotation as technical writer.

Every day, Chong-Zhi liaises with project engineers to produce documentation such as manuals and test sheets for the various projects at SAGE. In the past month he has also been called on to help out with factory testing on a brick-making machine, commissioning for an ultrasonic wine barrel cleaning machine and gone on-site to help with testing for a large SCADA system.

One of the things which impressed Chong-Zhi about SAGE was the structured 18 month graduate program. The program involves rotations across several departments of SAGE such as CAD, Manufacturing Intelligence, Quality Assurance, Safety and Project Management. These rotations offer him a range of different experiences to help him and other employees find out where they can best fit into the company.

Tertiary Education:

Chong-Zhi has completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Systems) with Honours and is completing a Ph.D. (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) at the University of Adelaide.

High School:

Chong-Zhi attended school outside Australia, in Malaysia.
