Maths is a foundation subject for training in the technology industry! Many university undergraduate degrees require Year 12 Mathematical Methods or Mathematical Studies as a pre-requisite and often Physics is an assumed knowledge. If you are not good at maths or simply do not enjoy studying this subject; you may be surprised to know that many of the most successful technology graduates currently working in the industry did not like maths either. However, it is often an essential subject to gain a tertiary qualification so we recommend that you continue with this subject. Consult your SATAC Guide for the most up to date information about pre-requisites.

Examine the chart below to see which employment category interests you. Not all jobs in the industry require tertiary qualifications, but usually the best paid jobs go to the most skilled people.
